RETE is a full-service real estate title firm with offices in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, the Eastern Shore, and Delaware. Licensed in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, DC and Delaware, RETE specializes in residential and commercial settlements.

Its team of attorneys, with the support of a group of highly skilled and trained staff, routinely identifies and resolves the most challenging issues related to settlement. From foreclosures to complex estates, trusts and probate matters, our team closes the deal, all with a level of expertise and professionalism rivaled by none.

In addition, RETE has a designated reverse mortgage staff that focuses exclusively on facilitating the closing of reverse mortgage loans. With attorneys licensed to practice in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, DC and Delaware, RETE has the resources to assist your clients with the preparation of Deeds, Life Estate Deeds, Powers of Attorneys and other legal documents that facilitate the closing of the reverse mortgage loans.


Peter H. Burstein

Peter Burstein is a principal and the CEO of Real Estate Title and Escrow. He is responsible for the growth and day-to-day operations of the firm. Peter is also a founding member of Real Estate Title’s related law firm, Strata Law, LLC.

Peter is a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of Comprehensive Housing Assistance Inc. (CHAI), an agency of the Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore. He is a past Chairman of CHAI’s Homeownership and Loan Committee and its Community Development Committee. He is currently the Vice Chair of CHAI's Housing Management Committee and a member of the Board of Directors for Weinberg Senior Housing. Peter currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The George Washington University and graduated with honor from The University of Maryland School of Law. Peter is a member of the Maryland and Virginia Bars.


William L. Yerman

Mr. Yerman, a founding member of Real Estate Title and Escrow, has more than 20 years of experience in the title industry. He is a past president of the Maryland Land Title Association and of the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors. Mr. Yerman is currently on the Board of Trustees of Garrison Forest School and is the Chairman of the Board of Junior Achievement of Central Maryland.

Mr. Yerman holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Emory University and graduated from The University of Maryland School of Law.


Alex Joseph Cservek

Joe Cservek is the Chief Operating Officer of Real Estate Title and Escrow. Prior to joining RETE, he worked for The Fountainhead Title Group and RGS Title, LLC, for nearly 24 years. He established the company’s Builder/Commercial Division, working with many national builder clients, as well as local, mid-sized and small builders. He served as CEO/President of RGS Title’s Northern Division from 2006-2008. In addition to his extensive real estate background, Joe was admitted to the Maryland State Bar in 1980 and holds a Maryland Real Estate Brokerage license. He serves on the Board of the Maryland/Delaware/DC chapter of MGFA.


S. Jocelyn Curtis

Ms. Curtis is the manager of the Harford County Division of Real Estate Title & Escrow whose office is in Bel Air. She has been an active participant in the real estate community in the Baltimore Metropolitan area for 16 years. Beginning as a settlement officer and marketing representative, her career progressed to Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for Eastern Maryland and Delaware for a regional real estate title company.

She has been identified as an expert witness by both HUD and FBI in specific areas of the industry and Jocelyn’s philosophy of “every problem/question has multiple solutions/answers, let’s find the best one” has enhanced her reputation as a title expert who works very well with challenging transactions and first time homebuyers.

Jocelyn is a member of the Harford County Association of Realtors and The Maryland Land Title Association and is involved with Habitat for Humanity, Harford Food Bank and John’s Hopkins Children’s Center.


Betty Wilson

Betty Wilson is a Baltimore native and a longtime resident of Harford County. She has spent more than three decades in the real estate industry in a variety of roles: Realtor, mortgage processor and originator, branch manager, settlement officer and even marketing director for a national title insurance company. Betty started her career after graduating from Towson State College (now Towson University) with a degree in secondary education. Her skills as a teacher have remained relevant throughout her long real estate career as she has continued to educate agents and clients in the finer points of the home purchasing process, both in the classroom and at the settlement table. Betty is a member of the Harford County Association of Realtors.


Stuart C. Resnick

Mr. Resnick has been handling commercial Real Estate transactions for some of the region’s most prominent builders and developers for over 20 years. Prior to joining Real Estate Title and Escrow, Mr. Resnick managed RGS Title, LLC’s Builder/Commercial Division and was the company’s Central Maryland Regional Director. Mr. Resnick has been recognized as an expert in Real Estate matters by the Circuit Court of Baltimore County, Maryland, the Circuit Court of Howard County, Maryland, and in the United States Bankruptcy Court.


Brian Resnick

Brian Resnick has been in the title insurance business since 2001. Brian’s client base is made up of national and local businesses. Brian emphasizes a hands-on approach, serving as lead contact for his builder clients, overseeing all aspects of the Closing Process, including HUD-1’s, Settlements, and disbursements. Prior to joining Real Estate Title, Brian managed the day-to-day operations of RGS Title, LLC’s Builder/Commercial Division located in Columbia, Maryland. Brian has a degree from from The University of Maryland at College Park and has a background in buying and rehabilitating homes in Baltimore City. He serves as the Vice President of the Board for the JCC of Central Maryland.


Craig Rohrer

Craig Rohrer is the branch manager for Real Estate Title's office in Easton, MD. Prior to joining RETE, Craig worked for Fountainhead Title Group, RGS Title and Sage Title Group. Craig is a licensed title agent with more than 10 years of knowledge and experience behind him. Craig prides himself in providing unparalleled service from beginning to end of each settlement he conducts. With his extensive knowledge of the title process Craig is able to focus his efforts on smooth settlements and happy clients.

Craig is involved with many Realtor organizations such as Mid-Shore Board of Realtors, Maryland Farm Bureau, along with the Maryland Land Title Association.

In his spare time, Craig is an avid outdoor sportsman. He enjoys fishing, horseback riding, wake boarding and snowboarding.


Devin Holland

Devin Holland oversees Real Estate Title’s Ocean City and Salisbury, Maryland Offices. Devin is a Marketing Specialist and Settlement Officer focused on creating and nurturing relationships with a wide variety of lenders, realtors and community members. He strives to create a seamless transaction from contract to closing and provide clients with a high level of communication throughout the settlement process. He endeavors to be the premier settlement services provider on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

Prior to joining RETE, Devin was a title Services Representative with Mid-Atlantic Settlement Services in Ocean City, Maryland. From 2004 to 2006, Devin was a realtor with Coldwell Banker. He is a member of the Coastal Association of Realtors, and the Maryland Land Title Association. Devin co-chairs the Coastal Association of Realtors Education Committee and is the chairperson for the Coastal Association of Realtors Rookie Committee. Devin is also a member of the Ocean City, Salisbury and Ocean Pines Chambers of Commerce.


Brian P. Glancy

Brian P. Glancy oversees Real Estate Title’s Delaware operations. For more than 20 years, Brian has been representing clients in all three Delaware Counties in residential and commercial real estate settlements. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware and the Widener University School of Law, cum laude. Brian is involved with several community organizations and sits on the Board of Directors of MOT Charter School in Middletown.


Jerry Sopher

Mr. Sopher has been a title insurance agent for Security Title Guarantee Corporation, Stewart Title Guarantee Company, First American Title Insurance Company, Ticor Title Insurance Company, Commonwealth Land Title and Chicago Title Insurance Company since 1965. Mr. Sopher has personally conducted over 45,000 commercial and residential closings in his career. He has represented numerous lenders over the past 48 years including, The Sparks State Bank, Mercantile Bank, PNC Bank, Bay Vanguard Federal Savings Bank, The Federal Land Bank of Baltimore, Farm Credit Bank, Fist Mariner Bank, Baltimore County Savings Bank, Peoples Bank of Glen Rock, Glen Rock State Bank, Regal Bank, Advance Bank, The Harbor Bank of Maryland, Colombo Bank, M&T Bank and others. Mr. Sopher’s firm has handled transactions for McDonald’s Corporation, Southern Land Company, Turner Development Company, Leimbach Builders, David Gonzales Companies, and numerous other builders and developers.


Mindy Saler

Mindy manages the distressed property division of RETE. She provides legal counsel to clients in matters involving real estate. Her practice includes the preparation of contracts of sale and leases for both commercial and residential real estate transactions, preparation of loan documents, negotiations with lending institutions in short sales, and contract review.

Mindy graduated cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of law where she earned her J.D. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Maryland College Park. Mindy is barred in Maryland and DC.
